In this class we perform deep yoga stretches which will increase flexibility, elongate and stretch tight muscles, and improve joint mobility. Key poses are held for approximately 1 minute as it helps to release tension and restore range of motion to muscles and connective tissue. This class features all non-standing poses.

This is a type of yoga where we string poses together to make a sequence, synchronizing each movement with the breath. Flowing Yin is a beautiful blend of Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Like traditional Yin Yoga, poses are more grounded and mainly focus on the lower part of the body - hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine. Like Vinyasa Flow, postures are strung together so that you move from one to the next seamlessly, following your breath.

The Yoga Mini incorporates all the aspects of a 60 minute Vinyasa Flow session (from the warm up to the savasana) into 30 minutes, bringing our awareness to the mind and body and focusing on our breath. As we flow we'll be building flexibility, balance, and strength, while releasing stress, anxiety, and tightness.

HI, I'M SONYA
Flowing Yin, Vinyasa Flow, Stretch & Renew, Flow & Restore, Gentle Flow, Stretch & Meditate, The Yoga Mini, Chair Yoga
I started doing yoga over 20 years ago with my mom. I've practiced all types of yoga, including Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative, Power, Chair, Gentle Flow, and Aerial. In 2019 I became a 200-hour Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher and in 2020 I received a 100-hour Yin Yoga certification. I continue to expand my yoga knowledge through Yoga Alliance Zoom courses, as I feel it's so important to continue to learn.
I believe yoga is for everyone: small to tall, young to old, thin to full-figured. Everyone! Yoga has extreme and amazing benefits for all, which I have seen first-hand. I do understand that some people feel nervous or anxious to join a class, maybe due to a previous bad experience or a preconceived notion, but I say try it and you might just fall in love and have some fun in the process!
