VINYASA FLOW YOGA

A style of yoga in which you flow, or transition, between poses following your breath.  Less time is spent in each pose.

FLOWING YIN YOGA

This is a fusion of Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga.  Poses are more grounded like a Yin class, however are not held as long.  We flow through poses in more of a Vinyasa Flow type fashion.

FLOW & RESTORE

The first portion of class is based on Vinyasa Flow. The second portion, is focused on restorative poses to calm and relax the body.

THE YOGA MINI

A quick and versatile 30-minute yoga sessions that incorporate both Vinyasa Flow and Yin.

CHAIR YOGA

A gentle form of yoga where poses are performed seated or with the support of a chair.

Just a Bit About Sonya

image267

Hi! I started doing yoga over 20 years ago with my mom. At that time,  my daughter was very young, and it was a way for me to get in a bit of physical activity and some time with my mom. Over the years, my love for yoga grew. In 2019 I became a 200-hour certified yoga instructor. Upon my graduation, I immediately started teaching yoga 3 times a week at our family's indoor cycling studio. With a thirst to expand my yoga knowledge and a desire to help my clients, I went back and received my 100-hour Yin Yoga certification.

When COVID-19 hit, and the studio closed permanently, I turned this sad moment into a happy ending. With the support of my clients, I started teaching virtual yoga classes. I have also been able to continue to expand my yoga knowledge through Yoga Alliance Zoom courses. I feel so blessed to have these opportunities and such wonderful clients!

I believe yoga is for everyone: small to tall, young to old, thin to full-figured. Everyone! Yoga has extreme and amazing benefits for all, which I have seen first-hand. I do understand that some people feel nervous or anxious to join a class, maybe due to a previous bad experience or a preconceived notion, but I say try it and you might just fall in love and have some fun in the process!
